Body Positivism: Illustrations by Lola Ogbara

Body Positivism is a series of illustrations by Lola Ogbara, a multi disciplinary artist who explores sexuality and body forms, specifically of the bodies of people of color.

Body positivism is a series of illustrations that represent bodies that have been policed and regulated for not fitting incongruous beauty standards set by modern society. It is meant to encourage size acceptance and help dismantle prejudice body images.”

Bright color palettes represent the bodies belonging to Women of color while the sexy-sultry stances exhibit the lack of apathy towards society’s opinion on what is acceptable and what is not.”
