The Henry Tayali Art Gallery was named as a tribute to late artist Henry Tayali, who died in Germany in 1987.
The Henry Tayali Visual Arts Center is located on Lion Lane, Showgrounds, Lusaka. Opened in 1995 the Cenre composes of the Visual Arts Council as well as the Henry Tayali Art Gallery.

Francis Mampuya was born in 1967 in Kinshasa, DRC. He studied Fine Art and with two friends, he founded the group “libristes.” His artistic style features semi-figurative and abstract faces.
