Hi every body… Sparingly it’s so rare to interact with a social media, since last time i posted some notes on facebook®… it was like 3 years ago, and then facebook® had been so crowded, and started to move from a social media into a fun media, and i fond myself talking in serious issues in the wrong place lol… but really i’m happy today that i could reach this site which i feel it really professional for us as african digital artists, even i feel proud for that…every time i was subscribe to a European or American forum or association for digital artist and designers, i was feel jealous, and always asking maself… why there’s no big role for African designers internationally, though i see a lot of creativity coming out in our markets, as i had the chance to work in many African markets. But it’s really bad every time I interview the designers for my agency…I feel sorry for most of the guys who thinks that working in design is just a fun…!!!! just photoshop, and maybe another software with some templates and ”I AM DESIGNER..!!”. limited culture about the field (advertising), digital devices, operation systems and even art… ”WHY I’ve TO KNOW ABOUT ART!?” I received this question many times…and my simple answer is: because digital art is the art of the 21 century, and we’ve to follow the history of art to continue the human cultural production development. Yasss, it’s fun, to work in digital art…when you work with five senses ignoring all your life troubles and dedicate yourself for an idea, and after hours or maybe days, sometimes months…you see your ideas comes into life, and the dream had been true… this is fun and very serious fun…makes thousands of this green papers $$ sometimes millions if you work for international brand’ campaign. I think if all the African designers being more serious and responsible about this job, we’ll find much more of African creativity on the international forums such as EPICA, CANNES LIONES, Ads of the World and much more…especially that our artistic talents comes across the history since long ago before the European renaissance.
Thank you for your time cheers
