The African and African-Caribbean Design Diaspora is a three year initiative, co-funded by the Arts Council England and supported by the British European Design Group (BEDG) and the London Design Festival, to promote the creative skills and commercial potential of ethnic minorities of African and African-Caribbean desend in the UK to run alongside the London Design Festival until the 2012 Olympics.
I am the Nu Black is the 2011 Winner of Best International Blog awarded by the Black Weblog Awards. It focuses on Re-defining Black culture through the work of Contemporary Creatives and often features work of youth of African descent , the things that inspire them, positive images, videos, news articles, quotes etc.
The name thenublack comes from the idea that my generation and those born to parents of the African diaspora have had a path paved for them by their ascendants.
