Take a look at the portfolio of graphic designer Rowan Toselli. Toselli is a graphic designer from Johannesburg who often experiments with wooden design.  His portfolio is a great example of package design and thinking outside the box.

“The wooden box was made from plywood, and finally laminated with a 80year old Indian-rose wood veneer. There is a black cardboard tray that slides in and out of the box, which contains a tray with three leave-behinds: a digital copy of my portfolio, a small wooded badge/button, and a laser-engraved illustration onto a piece of jacaranda wood. And finally my printed portfolio rests on top of the inner tray.” – Rowan
