BIO
Lorgio is a self-taught digital painter who first took an interest in anything remotely artistic in 2016, where he would use a laptop touch-pad for all his vector illustrations. It was not until late 2017 that he decided to completely switch up and learn something completely new to him; he invested in a tablet and began exploring digital paintings. Through countless hours of practice and studying different techniques through YouTube and other artists as well to try and find his own style, he has sharpened his skills with the pen and tablet. In a span of a year, he has done commission pieces for dozens of people and companies as well as collaborated with various artists around the world; most notably produced artwork for Oscar winning film āIf Beale Street Could Talkā
āLorgioās Afrocentric style is influencedĀ particularly byĀ African,Ā African American culture and pop culture. His artistic influences are the likes of Jean-Michel Basquiat, renaissance styles of Titian, Da Vinci and Michelangelo (to name a few).
His sole motivation that started him on his journey was, and still is; curiosity. This is the reason for his mantra:Ā āI am not talented. I am passionately curious.āĀ
